Starting on January 1st 2016, Kinmunity will reject all traffic originating from The Republic of Kazakhstan. The Republic of Kazakhstan intends to implement a nation-wide “man in the middle” attack against all SSL encrypted traffic. This type of intrusion is a violation of basic human rights, and is not something we will be supporting. While we have no actual users originating from this country for the time being, this is a statement that must be made. We hope major web services join us in similar efforts to ensure these injustices do not go unnoticed. This article discusses the potential implications of Kazakhstan's actions.
