Overlapping Kintypes?

Ninetails

Hey all!
This is something I've been struggling with, though I haven't seen talked about a lot. That is, having multiple kintypes that overlap.

For example, my main type is ninetails from Okami, who is a fictional fox, but I also have a red fox theriotype. I identify as BOTH of these, but they most likely stem from the same part of my identity and they often blend together. However, I'd still feel incomplete without having both of these types, there is no way I could choose one over the other, as even though they stem from the same place, they are still both me.

I'm having the same problem with a type I am questioning, that is primarina from pokemon. In addition to primarina I also feel I could be a pinniped therian, which would overlap with primarina because they are based off a sea lion.

Does anyone else expereince this? What are your thoughts on it? is it okay to have overlapping kintypes, or is it better to stick to one label per aspect of your identity?

Have you read about Cladotherainthropy?

I don't know if this is what you are experiencing, but I thought about it after reading your post.
