For me it depends on what the gear is or where I'm going. Most of the time, I've just got some cat patches on my backpack.

If it was socially acceptable or if I didn't have terrible social anxiety, I would totally go out wearing elf ears and a fluffy tail and a big cloak. I love fashion and love dressing up in ways that make me feel badass. However I do not want to get bullied for wearing a tail in public lol so the only times I'd go full out like that is if I was with a group of people all wearing similar stuff or at some sort of convention or gathering that accepted that kinda stuff, or of course, on Halloween. Fortunately since I like a lot of alternative styles, I can get away with a lot! I can full on wear dog collars and people will pass it up as a fashion thing if I'm rocking in full goth clothing or something. I like wearing a lot of subtle stuff, like normally I'd wear a simple choker in place of a collar (honestly just feeling something on my neck is nice) or a shirt with some kinda wolf print or some of those wire/jewelry cat ears etc. There's SO much you can do with alternative fashion to get away with subtle kin-inspired (kinspired??) stuff! Unfortunately I'm too socially anxious to even wear alt fashion in public because I currently don't have any friends irl who would make me feel less awkward wearing weird stuff in public, and still live with my parents who are very judgmental of what I wear, and live in a small redneck town where most of the population is boomers who will give you weird looks for wearing black ripped skinny jeans in public. But I'm moving to Vegas at some point, so surely I'll feel a lot more comfortably dressing alt there and being with my bf who will allow me to dress him lol

I wear elf ears everywhere, and I have a few things related to my kintype that i wear in more private settings. I kinda dress weird anyway, so my idea of "gear" for my kintypes would be wearing specific pelts and feathers as accessories, not so much a tail... but that's also because I tend to be pretty rough on clothes and I'd hate to get my nice handsewn possum tail dirty!

Most of my gear consists of choker esque collars, so most likely yes! It can easily be disguised as more alternative fashion, which it kind of already is for me along with being simultaneously gear.

Yes, we typically wear less obvious gear like jewelry or T-shirts with foxes on them, though have worn things such as tails and collars out in public as well. We really don't care what people think to be honest. It makes us feel comfy and more like ourselves.

absolutely! in fact, I often do!! I have a super cute and realistic pair of hand-made brown cat ears that a friend bought me as a gift that I usually wear everywhere. I’ve got a couple collars, but I really want to get one with a big bell. I don’t have a tail, but I really want to get one soon. also, I have so much cat-related jewelery, accessories, etc. just to bring along with me or wear along with the ears. I usually wear them with alternative clothing so it looks like I’m just making a fashion statement, but it feels so awesome being able to wear my kintype-affirming gear out in public, so I don’t really have any shame about it. I know it looks cute and that I look cute wearing it, so nobody can stop meee!!!!

Well, I don't owe any gear exept hunt claws, (if it may be called therian gear) and honestly have no idea which would suit my lifestyle X) But if i had some I would not be bothered about what people may think.

Voted "depends." I don't think any of us are going to go out fully as our 'types (excepting for maybe Halloween; Clockwork's demon form would be a sick costume and definitely win us some awards, lol). For other situations (i.e, LARP-scenarios, Renaissance Faires, parties with friends, stuff like that), we'll probably dress up some. In public, the most I would wear is maybe a collar/choker-type deal, and that'd be fine. I like the goth style, so that'd be pretty easy to fold into that scene.

Shepherd (finally decided on a name :p)

Depends. Depends what it would be and where. In a city? No, I already don't feel at ease in a city, I wouldn't like people watching me weirdly for wearing something unusual. But in the woods, with some friends, or at special occasions, why not?

well I've worn a tail once at my camp, and was instantly labled as the "wolf girl" I don't like being labled as things like that. I don't want to be publicly called things like that by people I don't know. And the times I do wear my tail publicly are when I'm near people I know won't pull it
