Weird Dreams

I had a weird dream last night, and I felt like I wanted to make a thread sharing weird dreams (non-kin dreams, mind you)

So, I'll start off, last night, I had this dream where there were these weird tiny white lizards on me, and they would fall off and immediately grow into these rocky, kitten-sized, things that looked like tiny dragons that lacked wings, I woke up with my heart racing like I woke up from a nightmare, even though it was actually pretty cool.

I once did two weeks of unpaid work experience for a well known doughnut company, and the fact that it was unpaid must have bothered me more than I thought, because afterwards I started having a reoccurring dream that it was my last day again and the boss presented me with a cheque for $800 haha. (its interesting to note that, given the hours I worked and the rate of pay they give employees my age, the figure in my dream is only $100 more than they would have owed me if I was being paid)

I mean, my weirdest dream has to be the one including the Straw Hats from One Piece.

I was tied up on the ship in the middle of the night. I don't know how or why I was there, all I knew was that I wasn't getting out of it. Out of nowhere a spotlight hits the captain, who was standing on the sail. Looking down at me, he slowly began to sing opera. Soon the rest of his crew joined in and I was stuck listening to opera for the rest of my dream.

Last night in fact I had a really sureal dream. It was short but it was incredibly detailed.

If you have ever read the book 'Harim and the Sea of Stories' then you'd remember the race of people that saw wih darkness. Darkness for us was how they saw and they made 'darkbulbs' that produced glaring shadows so they could see better on that spot.

In my dream I was at a sleepover at one of my friend's house with two other people (let's call my friends 'S', 'M' and 'A'). Our sight was like that of those people who saw using darkness but we used words like 'light' to mean the darkness that we could see by. We were up on a hill looking over the city late at night, so of course we couldn't see very well because it was brightly lit. Suddenly I we noticed that there were clouds being 'lit' up with darkness into vague 2 dimensional pictures.

I asked

"The real question is that, is someone lighting up the clouds or are they just generally lighting it up and moving the clouds?"

'A' replied with

"I think they're moving the clouds"

Now I took this as a challenge and so I said

"Alright let's go and look" and me and 'M' went onto a hot-air balloon basket and stared to rise up to the clouds. We got right up to the cloud layer and could still breath easily (this didn't surprise us for some reason) when we got to a cloud that was being brightly 'lit' with dark from inside. I wondered aloud what was inside the cloud and 'M' said confidently that it was probably a star.

What you have to understand is that, as soon as he said that, it was common knowledge that stars in my dream were not like the ones we have, I didn't exactly know what they were but I had a general feeling that they were about the size of a perfect sphere with a diameter of 2metres, were completely black and formed close to the earth.

We floated through the cloud to see what was inside and when we got in, everything went completely silent. We were inside a hollow sphere of cloud about 300metres in diameter and we had come in through the side so we didn't have long before we floated back out through the other side. But those few moments I don't think that I will ever forget.

Inside the sphere it was completely silent, no background noise, only the sounds that people made such as breathing or the rustle of clothes. As we went in, there was a pleasant dark light coming from the middle of the sphere and in the middle, in the middle was an apollo astronaut sitting on a black-leather chair inside of a perfect dark-glass sphere and I knew that this object he was sitting inside of, was a star. I looked at him and waved a small amount and he looked at me and he waved back a bit. He had a full space-suit on with an orange-gold visor so I couldn't see any of his features. Those moments of absolutely no background sound at all, floating through a hollow sphere of cloud and waving to an astronaut inside of a star was so memorable for a reason that transcends words and language, I can't explain it in any way other than giving another example.

The feeling that I had was like if you were diving in the ocean and a blue whale went past you and recognised your existence. It was a disconnected feeling, it was the kind of experience that, looking back on it, you realise that you will never forget it.

The astronaut had above him in the sphere was a small green light like a button, and it was the kind of light that we have in our world, that he occasionally pressed in sequence. All of the dark light was coming from the star but it wasn't blinding like looking into the sun is for us. Then e floated out of the cloud sphere and continued on.

There is a bit more to the dream but it's mostly gaff and this post is already too long so I won't say it.

I'm like, the queen of weird dreams. Last night I dreamt about this ghost bird called the Ago. I was terrified of this bird. It was really tall, and could turn invisible. Whenever anyone was in the same room as it, they would feel like they were choking, even though they were fine. Most of my dream consisted of my mom trying to convince me that the Ago was a metaphor for something, I forgot what it was.

Most of my weirdest dreams seem to involve croupiers or a casino theme. Not that I'm complaining.

I did write it down, but it got lost in the site crash, so I will remember as much as I can.

So, I had been nearly fired over something I hadn't done, and went back on shift to deal three-card poker. It was a kind of futuristic/present world setting. The guy to my right is winning, when suddenly there's a loud explosion and through this huge smoking hole in the far right wall comes in the four-strong scientist-looking group, armed and looking for a fight.

The taller of the four did something, and these two holographic projections of what looked like planets showed up at eye-level, one bigger (red/orange) and one smaller (blue/green). He then did something else, and what looked like these silver tube-like things connected from the blue sphere to every one of our patrons. This was then followed with the sentence (or thereabouts) of "Croupiers are analytical, calculating. This makes them dangerous, and to be destroyed."

I remember running, just running in an attempt to escape. I think my supervisor had tackled one of them to cause a distraction. The street I ran through was dusty, almost desert-like in a way from the surrounding and atmosphere, but still an urban location. Stopping for a moment, I remember crying out "I love you Anton!"

Last night, I had a dream that Spider-Man was a phantom thief and he stole a pair of expensive headphones from a millionaire and then came back to steal an expensive towel from the millionaire (which was the millionaire's favorite towel), only this time some sort of meeting or convention was going on because everyone was wearing a Spider-Man costume.

I also had a dream that I put on a puppet show for several juvenile criminals in my living room.

(I can go on but I have too many weird dreams.)

[PLURALSYS=Artem][/PLURALSYS] Multiple system here. Artem speaking. A bit of background on this girl, who was in the host's 5th and 6th grade class. Her name will be changed for the sake of this story... let's call her Kylie. The host, Skylar, did not know he was a multiple system at the time, but made a lot of characters. Kylie would often try to forcefully change the background or story of these characters because she didn't like things about them-- As if they were her characters.

[PLURALSYS=Skylar][/PLURALSYS] This really ticks me off now because those characters are members of this multiple system.

[PLURALSYS=Artem][/PLURALSYS] I may be overreacting, but that is sort of like... trying to change... me. At least, that is how it felt.

But I digress.

[PLURALSYS=Skylar][/PLURALSYS] I keep having these dreams that I'm trying to apologize to Kylie for being mean to her (because she caused a lot of drama in 5th and 6th grade and the whole class pretty much got tired of her.) And in the dreams she'll accept it and try to be my friend and try to change my characters and multiple system members. :idontcare:

[PLURALSYS=Artem][/PLURALSYS] Sorry, that was more of a rant than a dream.

[PLURALSYS=Skylar][/PLURALSYS] Those are fantastic dreams. I wish my dreams were funny like that. Instead I keep having dreams about people, tornadoes and airplanes flying low or crashing into things. Just the airplanes flying low and crashing. Not the people or tornadoes. Well, maybe the tornadoes.

One I recently remember: it was late at night, and I was in a part of Chicago I'm not usually around. I was there to play a tabletop RPG with some friends, and we were outside about to head home. Then, my friend showed me some ridiculous bootleg toy/calendar/poster he had bought at a store near by that was full of that stuff. I looked at the store he pointed to and noticed they were selling knockoff handheld lcd game consoles (like Popstations). I had been lookin for such a thing, so I went in to buy it. There were more details but sadly I've since forgotten them.

This dream was clearly inspired by two YouTubers I had been watching a lot of recently, Phelous and Ashens. And I am really always on the lookout for Popstations...

I once had a dream that my sister and I were breaking a brick wall with bricks. They kept breaking so I picked up a pink brick but my sister got mad at me and screamed that a friend gave it to her. She ended up picking up a stray tree trunk and smashing it against the wall, but it didn't work. I finally broke through with bricks and as I crawled through the hole I woke up.

Slightly sick and gory so be warned:

I have the most terrifying dreams and sometimes I question my sanity. Before I had the dream this kid at my school kept asking me over and over to get some crappy Minecraft-like video game and he was really getting on my nerves. Then not too long after I had a dream where I murdered him with an axe inside a barn??? BUT HE WOULDNT DIE AND KEPT SCREAMING. And then this crippled old man walks over and sprays some yellow juice on the kid's wounds and maggots swarm him!!!!!! He then screams louder. I wasn't even that mad at the kid, like why?:'(

I also had a dream where my uncle.....lets just say..... violated me?????? My uncle is actually really nice ....

I also had a dream where I had to watch this buff guy laugh as he whips a weak old man in front of me..........

My dreams traumatise me...:tiredface::tiredface::tiredface::tiredface::tiredface:

I swear I have the weirdest dreams I could ever imagine anyone having, but my memory is shit and now I don't remember a single one. However, kind of off topic but, so you ever nearly fall asleep then wake up (if I can even call it waking up) shivering like mad almost unable to do anything? I'm actually not sure if it's part of sleep paralyzis or just a way of signalizing "you'll have a nightmare". Scary is it anyway.

Last night I had a dream about furvilla??? I dreamt that they had a rule that polymorphs and shapeshifters weren't allowed to join.

I also had a post-voting day nightmare that my least preferred party won, haha.

George Lopez was my lunch lady in a dream once.

One of the strangest themes of my dreams that I keep going back to is locked old-fashioned wood cabins. I see them everywhere, on alien planets, underground, or just wandering around a dreamscape. I always want to go into them, and they're always locked. Once I saw silhouettes moving around, but couldn't make out who it was or communicate with them.

I had sleep paralysis twice in my early 20's. Sometimes I fall half-asleep and then wake up with the sense that if I go back to sleep I'll see something unpleasant for no particular reason. I read until my state of mind has shifted fully to awake to "disconnect" from that, and then go back to sleep.

Okay, so my dreams rarely take place in anything that would seem realistic. Also, my dreams are usually so far off the wall and all over the place that you could even describe them as... Dare I say it? Trippy. I could go on and on, so I'll just describe some important factors, and a few "Honorable mentions".

There for a few months, I was having trouble remembering dreams and would only remember bits and pieces. However, I'm starting to remember them again, with some new, I guess you would call them, "Dream abilities."

I also usually used to have no fee will, and if I wanted to move or say something, I couldn't without the consent of the story. This went on until I was 13, and even then I still had limited ability to do so until now. (It's weird, I know.)

Also, any logic, memories, or anything important would not be remembered in the dream. I would only go along with the dream as if nothing was out of place. Now, I'm actually able to recall this within the dreams, which can be pretty helpful when I wake up, because I remember it better. Also, the dream makes more sense when that happens.

The next factor is a pretty important one; I am often being chased by something in my dreams. Usually when things start to get kind of scary and out of control, I can realize it's just a dream. This will cause a brief period of lucid dreaming. This has happened 3 nights in a row, and I feel like I'm getting better at it. Anyways, when I lucid dream, I can never completely control the dream. I can only control small parts. My lucid abilities so far is changing the lighting so I can see better, blowing up cars, destroying the problem, turning small objects into birds, and taming strange mounts. That's about it. Like I said, I'm beginning to get better at it, hopefully I'll eventually be able to control the dreams.

It's always really weird that I have these distinct patterns in my dreams. I guess we all have some set of rules, but these are mine. Now to the honorable mentions.

Blue Tiger

This one I remember in the most detail, and this was years ago.

In the dream, you see a brief montage of this shadow moving over the Earth and making it to underneath my dresser drawer. There was this strange pink cat there in my room that seemed almost hairless, and had a thin tail that wrapped around it's body with spacy-like objects floating around it. (This is the best I can describe the cat.) I'm somehow aware of the presence of whatever is under the drawer, and sit there, waiting. A giant, blue, striped claw comes out and almost gets the cat. The cat gets scared, and runs to the other side of the bed out of my sight. I move back towards the door, and a blue tiger slowly emerges from the dresser drawer, snarling. I try to open the door, but it's locked. I'm pretty calm about this, and I put my back against the door waiting for the tiger to come up to me. The tiger tries to swipe a claw at me, and I grab it's claw, and flip it on it's back. Then, I begin to pet the tiger. It purrs, and the dream ends.

The Forest

The next one is a strange dream that was one of the dreams that contributed to discovering my spirit animal. (I know I should take dreams with a grain of salt, but I was counting all of the times I had encountered the animal, and this one tends to stick out for some reason.)

I was going to Disneyland with "friends" (I put in quotes, because I had never seen these people in my waking life. Yet, I considered them friends in the dream.) We went to this arcade within Disneyland, and there were games that you actually went inside. My friends broke off to different ones, and I chose the one with the forest.

When I entered the game, I turned into a man and had another male friend (who I had also never seen in my life) with me who was my partner in crime. The concept of the game was that I was a serial killer, and I had to live in this forest for awhile while people were looking for you.

My PIC (partner in crime) was a young, tall man with long legs, a thin body, broadish shoulders, redish-brown light colored hair, and if I remember correctly, chestnut-colored eyes.

There was this birch wood swing-bridge we got on that connected to all of the trees, and on one end was a tree house. (These were very tall trees. It reminded me of an Ewok village minus the Ewoks and houses.) We entered, and for a few seconds, it seemed minecrafty, but turned realistic pretty quickly. It was small, but something I honestly wouldn't mind living in. There were two beds on each side of the wall as you walked into the screen door, a counter touched the head of the bed at one end, and there was a decent sized kitchen from there. Cabinets were above my bed, and nothing was above the PIC's. a bathroom was off to the side in between where the kitchen was, and the PIC's bed space.

We took turns in the bathroom to change our blood-cover clothes, then he started to cook some fish in the kitchen. (Our mini-fridge was loaded with seafood.) I left the screen door open, because it was nice out. The sun began to set, and this black bear wondered on to the bridge. (I know what you're thinking; it's an Ewok. Well, it's not. It was just a standard looking black bear.)

I became uneasy, and tried to close the screen door, but the bear got in. I waited for the bear to do something, but then it began to talk to me. The bear had an English accent, and seemed pretty friendly towards me. I don't remember the conversation, but it was mostly casual small-talk and a few words of advice. The only thing I distinctly remember him saying was, "I hate to ask, but that seafood smells rather delicious. Would you mind if I took some home with me?" I agreed, not wanting to upset the bear.

I gave him some shrimp out of our freezer, and he went on his way. The rest of the dream was fuzzy after that point, but I remember the PIC and I going to town to pick up some hunting supplies. (It was a really secluded town, so there was no chance of anyone recognizing us.) This girl also came along, who somehow knew what we did, and wanted to join us. Once again, pretty fuzzy after that. The dream did eventually end.

Final Words

My dreams are weirder, but I only explained the ones with the most significance. I wanted to explain the one where I could shape-shift into a lion at will, but I don't want to make my post too long. It's already pretty long as it is.

I once had a dream where I was trapped in a maze that was a machine, and the halls were constantly changing... All my teeth fell out and I had to find the center of the maze, and everything looked steampunk-esque, and the only way to put my teeth back in was to find the alchemist in the maze somewhere and have him alchemy my teeth back in... somehow... For some reason I needed my teeth to find the center of the maze but when I found the alchemist he said that was where the circle he needed to put my teeth back in was, and it was so frustrating... somehow we found it and got my teeth back in, and then there was lava falling from the sky and it was melting the maze. This is where I woke up. It was weird. I had to carry my teeth in my hand the whole time too.

About a week ago I had a dream were I was on a boat.... Made of pizza. It wasn't even really a boat by the end of the dream, more like a giant pizza slice floating in the middle of the ocean.

My dreams are weird :coldsweat2:

I had a dream that I took down a 70 foot tall chicken with a purple sword. More recently I had a dream that I got mauled by a bear for making noises at it. I deserved that one.

I had a dream last night about vampires. But it was different in the way there were two very different kinds - Sun vampires, and Moon vampires.

So, Sun vampires were damaged by sunlight, Moon vampires were damaged by moonlight.

They often fought each other during the others weakness, so one was almost always stronger than the other.

To further it was vampires, I was more than happy when I was then shown Setrakian and Vasily from The Strain fighting against each other.

OKAY UPDATE ON WEIRD DREAMS because last night was a riot

The dream began with me waking up, because a turtle was crawling on the couch I was sleeping on. I befriended the turtle after several bites to the fingers. Then I went on a Pokemon adventure (which was really just me tracking a Tauros) and then my mom, apparently Barbra Streisand in this dream, shows up donning a giant blue raincoat and hat (My friend dubbed her Paddington Bear Barbra after I told them the dream) and yells at me for being bitten by a turtle, taking off, and harassing wild bulls in the woods.

I'm so confused right now.

Not describing a dream, but related. While looking for something I found an old dream diary that I used to keep. In the front is a list of dreams that are written, and dreams that I need to write. The titles are...something.

Written:

Milk

Highway race

Highway zombie

Library biolab

Castle party

Grand canyon

Not written

Vampire

B*tch lake

Backalley surgery

Christmas pets

Buddy's return

Grandtheft weird

I remember all of the dreams listed under "not written", except for vampire and backalley surgery. I'm really tempted to put some of these dreams in this thread, but I don't want to take up too much space, haha.
