Site Update (06/08/15)

It's time for quick site update. This update brings a many enhancements, bug fixes, and tweaks. It also includes a new (major) feature!

As some of you are already aware, Kinmunity operates its own IRC network. This network hosts the IRC channel which the "chatroom link" on our site connects users to. But we also invite users to start their own channel for their own communities. The official website for our IRC network went live today at kinmunity.net and we invite everyone to check it out!

Chatroom Link

We've moved the link to the chatroom to the top navigation bar of the site where it belongs. We feel this change will help bring people into the chat channel and make it more exposed so that it doesn't look like just another forum.

Social Groups

Social Groups are here! This feature allows users to create and administrate small groups - complete with their own discussion forum and wealth of features. You can access the Social Groups in the top navigation bar of the site. Because this feature is currently experimental, only staff members, elders, silver vips, and gold vips can create groups. Elders can create a single social group, silver vips can create up to three groups, and gold VIPs can create up to ten. All members can join up to ten groups. We will open this feature to the public once it has been determined stable. You can save up bones to become a silver or gold VIP, or you can purchase lifetime VIP memberships in order to be the first to try new features!

Hope you all like the updates!

The Social Groups system will be updated later today and a a new thread will be posted. I need to configure default permission sets before it will allow users to create groups.
