Which Song(s) make you feel closer to your Kin-Type?

Recommended Posts

This is just out of general curiosity,

But which song(s) make you feel much closer to your Kin-Type?

Personally for me it's the covers of songs on Pet Collective

In addition, which song(s) do you feel misrepresent or are offensive to your Kin-Type?

^^' I hope I'm not coming off as rude, but there is a similar thread in The Lake under Music Feels, it doesn't have the misrepresentation or offensive part. I'm not a mod so I can't tell you where you can or can not post, just wanted to bring it up.

Well, there is one song that always does the job for me, bringing out my draconic side.

Otherwise quite a bit of the early nightwish stuff, epica, apocalyptica, quite allot of orchestral metal and going into Manowar and Iron Maiden with various songs. Black Dragon by Dissection also comes to mind.

Not sure if it makes me feel closer to my kintype, but it makes me nostalgiac and feel really good whenever I listen to it because it was all I listened to when I was awakening. I guess it just reminds me of the experiences... Anyways, the song isn't a song, it's an electronic album called The Recovery of the Absolute Artifact by one of my favorite artists, Rotteen (aka Renard Queenston, who makes up half of my favorite artists. Literally, he has tons of aliases)

Ooh this is tough. It's hard to decide which makes me feel closer to my kintypes and which i just like.

Furr by blitzen trapper (wolf)

Remember me by two steps from hell (dinosaur)

Starfall by two steps from hell (dinosaur)

Please don't say goodbye by ellen mcclain (can't decide if dragon or male wolf)

Heartlines by florence and the machine

There's more but i can't remember them right now

Well what works for me is:

The Last Amazing Greys by Sonata Arctica for the Pantera Blytheae

For some reason return of the werewolf by Timeless Miracle works for the Lyhtronax Argestes

Cockatrice doesn't really have a song

Memories by Timeless Miracle for the Eurasian Dragon

I know this is perhaps weird, but each song that enlightens my spiritual nature related to my kin is instrumental.

I do enjoy Felix Laband's " Down the Stairs, " however. It reminds me of the curious sounds illuminating from my home planet's grounds.

ahahahahaha....I have an entire playlist. Most of the songs are only really obscurely connected, though, so I'll go off of "which songs resonate the most with me."

-the whole entire Prince of Egypt soundtrack, specifically All I Ever Wanted and Let My People Go

-Sound the Bugle Now from the movie Spirit

-Short Hair from the Mulan soundtrack

-Beauty and the Beast (title song)

-Black Fox by Heather Dale

-Save Me by Dave Matthews

-You Know My Name by Chris Cornell (Casino Royale opening song)

-Welcome Home by Radical Face

-Sympathy for the Devil by The Rolling Stones (of course, couldn't leave that one out)

This is part 1 and 2 of Aquarian Deep Sea Diving by Galaxy. This song really makes me think of drifting around on the bottom of the ocean. It sounds pressurized and distant yet it shimmers with a lush life of it's own.

This song doesn't need any lyrics. It's perfect on it's own with those unforgiving crunching sounds coupled with the cold, synth breakdown and distant piano (which represents glimmers of life to me). Um, ignore the umbrellas in the video though lol. No idea what that was about.

For some reason I can't explain, but I enjoy the song Nightcall by Kavinsky. It makes me think of cruising the universe in a cruiser.

Lion by Hollywood Undead. No, not just because of the title. In the song, to be a lion is to have great inner strength and personal power in difficult times, which is how I have survived the things I've survived.

"Can you hear the words? All I can say

We can watch the world, even if they walk away

Forget about tomorrow, tomorrow is today

You were born a lion and a lion you will stay"

^ Those lyrics are roughly where I start to get goosebumps.

I can't think of anything that's good for makami that isn't specifically about Shouei. I'll likely create a thread specifically for individual, system, and headmate songs. I think they're different enough from kintypes to deserve their own topic.
